as i was laying in bed last night i was watching tv. flipping through the channels as i usually do. to my disappointment, snl was a re-run and it was the best of tracy morgan. really? he has a best of? where has he career gone after or therefore of being on snl? yeah, anyways due to my frustration i started changing the channels with anger. and then, i stopped. on kvie or pbs or whatever channel that is that has documentary and such i stopped. usually i don’t stop on that channel, but being around 11:35pm at night on a saturday there really isn’t much on. and what i saw was the band coldplay, live at concert on tv. and it really was captivating to watch this. never seeing coldplay live and experience chris martin’s energetic out of body experience / performance was riveting. i was blown away by how moving the band was at this show.

so i finished watching it. and automatically right after that i went to my computer and bought their other cd’s x & y and parachutes (i already own “a rush of blood to the head“). and i found a set-list of what there last show was, put together on itunes and am enjoying the experience all over through my ears. so what i’m trying to get at is that i underestimated coldplay, a lot. and now there is a totally new look at band like that. well, bring the awesome. bye.

2008. the new year. año nuevo. totally. i don’t know what i’m talking about. but i did ring the new year. wait, is it ring or rang? i’m not sure but oh well. ha! well for new years, i did go out. but, it was a big disappointment. which totally sucked. or maybe i suck. let me tell you the epic story of my lame night on new years.

my day didn’t really start off until i went over to spencer’s to watch the office season 3. i think i only watched one episode that day. but we had been watching the beginning of season 3 the night before. but lets to get back to my epic journey of lameness. so, matt rindells called me and told me i had to come over to his house and play this game with him and his family. ok. so i drove myself over there and we played this game taboo. and honestly, i sucked pretty bad. i think i was the least knowledgeable person there. which made me feel like crawling into the fetus position and crying. well, i left matt’s and went home to get ready for the night.

8:30pm roles around i leave my house to go over to spenser’s but informs me of our friend whiteny who is having a party. i come in to say my hellos and new years wishes, and the first sight i see is a bunch of fresno statesorority girls taking shots. wow. intense. don’t get me wrong, they were all pretty girls. but we left and attended another party which consisted of us standing outside of a house in their garage freezing. i was not happy. so we left and went back to whitneys. by that time it was 9:30pm and all the girls were passed out by that time. pshh lame. it was very nice night seeing and hanging out with friends. i think i was the only one who didn’t get a new year’s kiss. lame, i know. but hey, it’s cool.

so usually at or around new year’s everyone makes up some kind of resolution. mine is to record with faded gray, hopefully tour with faded gray and making that band happen. writing a great american novel, climbing mount everest, single handed white water river rafting, and finding the inner peace that i so desperately need and want. and that’s just is the next 3 or 4 days. so, i’m busy.

evidently i was informed by matt’s sister, michelle, that i haven’t been keeping up with my word of the day thing that i used to do. so here is it again. word of the day!

if you’ve been living under a rock. then i feel very bad for you. so recently, my mom made a purchase. not some regular ordinary purchase. something, special. she got me heroes season 1 on dvd. awesome. i know. anyways, i’ve spent all weekend watching and learning from these special people. i was stoked. anyways, this is just a means to inform all of you, to watch it. it is a great show. i think so. and so does james, mason, pulter, ryan and alot of other people. the show is so epic and the premises of it is amazing. brilliant television. that’s what i call it. and think of spiderman, and x-men, fantastic four, superman, and batman, every super hero. got it? ok, throw it away and watch this show and get swooped up in its glory. ahh. so yea, season 2 is playing now on nbc every monday night at 9:oopm. watch it.

yep. that is right. i am 21. unfortunately its been while since i’ve come on the website. but i promise that won’t happen again! anyways, back to the story. i am 21. and i can drink. not that it changes anything to much because i don’t really ever partake in it. but i feel older. alot older to my friends who are still 19 and 20. i’m sorry that i’m older and cooler than you. its not my fault. so its pretty cool. we went to the 133 and rocko’s. those are the only legal bars i have attended. but i was stoked! i’ve also come to realize people think they know you when they are under the influence, and also say things without thinking. someone asked if i had a brother, an older brother, and if my name was jake. excuse me, do i look like a jake to you? but it was fun and so are people.

also, sorry i would have posted this earlier but i’ve been playing with my new iphone so much that everything is obsolete. but last saturday was the ufc fight night: round 2 at tina’s. all i have to say that i am very, very disappointed in chuck liddell. he didn’t even fight! ugh. loser. but here are some pretty cool pictures that i took, or someone else took. enjoy.

*motion city soundtrack’snew album “even if it kills me” in my opinion is good. but not as good as “commit this to memory.” i honestly think they did a whole lot better with mark hoppusproducing the last album. the new one is cool. but not that great. they should have stuck with the hoppus.

she messed up. and oh, did she mess up big time. she flat out sucked! honestly i think it was the worst thing to have her perform the opening act on the 2007 vma’s. this years vma’s sucked. sucked. sucked. it was going in and out of hotel rooms with kanye west constantly rapping about something. then fall out boy. and also tommy lee and kid rock got in a fight. ha! i think kid rock would have beat up tommy lee, but you never now. by far this was honestly the worst mtv video music awards ever! and you don’t have to blame britney either. it was all mtv. so here’s a video of britney spears cough syrup ind-used performance. enjoy.
